FedEx Freight has terminated Mike Lyons, chief specialized services and commercial officer, following an internal investigation that found he violated the company's Code of Conduct. Lyons, appointed to the position in June 2025 ahead of FedEx Freight's planned spinoff from FedEx Corp, had served the company for 19 years. The carrier said his misconduct did not affect financial reporting, internal controls, strategy, or customer relationships. FedEx Freight will redistribute Lyons's responsibilities among existing executives while recruiting his replacement. His departure marks a leadership transition during a pivotal period as the less-than-truckload operator prepares for independence. The company declined to provide additional commentary beyond its Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
