Merchants Fleet has launched FleetShare operations in Puerto Rico, marking the managed vehicle access program's first deployment outside the continental United States. The company deployed 113 vehicles to support last-mile delivery operations for an unnamed global e-commerce company on the island. Drivers reserve and access vehicles through a mobile application, eliminating manual key exchanges and coordination calls. FleetShare now manages more than 8,000 vehicles across North America. The system uses connected key boxes paired with driver profiles and reservation tools, enabling fleet managers to track assignments and utilization centrally. The technology operates independently of customer Wi-Fi or local networks. Merchants Fleet positions the program as scalable for operations of any size, from dozens to thousands of vehicles across multiple locations.
