Overroute, an Arkansas-based freight technology company, closed a $5.5 million funding round led by J. Partners. EIC Rose Rock, 1834 Ventures and Tulane Ventures also participated. The company emerged from a 2024 collaboration between J. Labs and J. Hunt to automate manual tasks in freight operations. After a year of development, Overroute launched publicly in July and now operates across J. Hunt's network. The platform monitors shipments, flags exceptions, schedules deliveries and manages communications between drivers and customers. Overroute integrates with existing carrier systems including transportation management platforms and visibility tools, allowing fleets to deploy the technology without replacing current workflows. CEO Alex Reed stated the funding provides capacity to expand the solution to additional enterprise fleets.
