ShipStation launched a fully integrated less-than-truckload capability for small and mid-sized businesses. The new tool consolidates parcel, LTL, and full truckload operations on a single platform.

Spiceology, a Spokane, Washington-based spice distributor, reduced label generation time from 1-2 minutes per order to 5-10 seconds after adopting the platform. The company previously visited individual carrier websites to manually process shipments—a workflow that consumed hours and required multiple staff members.

Logistics manager Ned Woodward credited automated rate shopping and customizable automation rules as key efficiency drivers over five years of use. When direct-to-consumer demand surged roughly 50% during pandemic-driven restaurant closures, Spiceology leveraged ShipStation's capabilities to rapidly scale fulfillment operations.

The new LTL module eliminates the need for shippers to maintain multiple systems and sources of truth, shifting workflows from manual decision-making to exception management.
