ShipStation is accelerating international expansion through acquisitions and strategic partnerships, CEO Tom Madine announced. The platform now offers less-than-truckload freight capabilities alongside parcel services—a capability enabled by parent company Thoma Bravo's acquisition of Worldwide Express Group. Currently operating in Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Australia, ShipStation aims to deepen its European presence, particularly among small-and-medium businesses. The company manages connections to over 400 parcel carriers globally and pre-negotiates rates across major e-commerce markets. Madine emphasized the lack of a true global shipping software competitor, positioning ShipStation to fill that gap. European operations include the London-based Metapack subsidiary, which provides delivery management technology. Future growth will likely come through acquisitions or carrier partnerships similar to existing arrangements.
