TruckSmarter Shutting Down Driver App Following Acquisition

TruckSmarter is ceasing operations of its driver application following an acquisition, with the platform set to close Friday. The company's Dispatch service will be discontinued. This AI chat-based interface enabled carriers to locate and secure freight through conversational queries. Active subscribers will see their accounts canceled, though refunds for invoices paid within the past 30 days will be processed within seven business days. More than 500,000 carriers relied on TruckSmarter's free load board and Dispatch platform. Co-founder Dan Kao thanked users for their support over five years in a statement posted to the app. TruckSmarter previously divested its factoring and banking operations to OTR Solutions last year. The company had raised $16 million in September 2025 to fund growth and product development. The shutdown removes a significant tool from independent operators seeking to streamline freight booking.
