Paul Graham will depart Australia Post on June 30 after more than five years as Chief Executive. Chairwoman Siobhan McKenna credited Graham with executing the Post26 Strategy and launching the Post30 modernization plan, strengthening the operator's eCommerce positioning and customer service capabilities. The board has initiated a search for Graham's successor, considering both internal and external candidates. Australia Post reported an adjusted pre-tax loss of US$75.5 million in fiscal 2026, pressured by declining letter volumes, rising delivery expenses and competitive parcel market dynamics. Cost-reduction initiatives generated $132 million in annual savings. The operator invested $290 million in fleet, technology and network expansion. Parcel volumes grew 5.3% as eCommerce demand remained steady, though pricing pressure and capacity investments compressed margins. Australia Post faces intensifying competition from global marketplaces and international delivery services expanding Australian operations.
