Freight forwarder DSV is broadening its Air ThermoDirect pharmaceutical service with a new dedicated freighter route linking Luxembourg and Shanghai Pudong. The expansion leverages Eastern Air Logistics' specialized ground handling infrastructure in Shanghai, supported by China Eastern Logistics Cold Chain's cold chain capabilities. DSV maintains control over scheduling, routing and cargo management to enhance reliability. The company plans to add a future link between Indianapolis International and Shanghai. The Shanghai Pudong route marks DSV's second Air ThermoDirect expansion this year, following a June launch of the Luxembourg-Indianapolis corridor. Both hubs serve as critical nodes for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical distribution. DSV's sustainable reusable thermal packaging program aims to reduce waste while maintaining product integrity across Asia's rapidly expanding healthcare market.
