Spartan Logistics has acquired Allen Logistics, adding 100,000 square feet of warehouse capacity to its regional network. The Whitehouse, Ohio facility expands Spartan's Ohio presence to 11 locations, including seven in the Northwest Ohio market. The Columbus-based third-party logistics provider's footprint now spans 4.5 million square feet across nine Midwest and Southern states. The company maintains significant port access in Charleston and Savannah. Spartan operates approximately 50 tractors for local shuttle and regional transportation, offering just-in-time delivery capabilities. The integration strengthens the provider's ability to deliver comprehensive services including cross-docking, fulfillment and warehouse management. CEO Steve Harmon cited Toledo's strategic importance as a longstanding market for Spartan. Financial terms were not disclosed.
