Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives arrested two men following the theft of approximately $500,000 in SIG Sauer firearm parts and accessories from a Torrance warehouse. Arman Mnatsakanyan, 26, and Ashot Yesayan, 23, both of Glendale, were taken into custody on October 12 after investigators received initial reports of the fictitious pickup scheme. Detectives from the department's Cargo Criminal Apprehension Team recovered the entire shipment and returned it to the manufacturer. The suspects were booked on suspicion of grand theft cargo. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for filing consideration. The incident reflects broader cargo theft vulnerabilities in Southern California's logistics corridor, where deceptive pickups represent 28% of regional theft cases.
