FreightWise has introduced Kuebix AI, an artificial intelligence-enabled transportation management system designed for small and midsize shippers struggling with freight routing across LTL, parcel and truckload modes. The platform, developed over two years following the company's acquisition of the Kuebix system from Trimble three years ago, debuted at the F3 conference. The system replaces traditional rule-based routing with AI-driven optimization capabilities that the company says reduce operational costs and planning complexity. A key feature enables planners to evaluate multiple route options simultaneously on a single screen, displaying trade-offs between longer miles for on-time delivery versus shorter miles that reduce expenses but require rescheduled appointments. The interface allows users to select and execute preferred options directly within the system, eliminating workarounds. FreightWise developed its own carrier API network internally after determining that third-party rating tools failed to meet speed and coverage requirements for its customer base.
