Flexport Expands Fulfillment Operations Into Canada and UK Markets

Flexport has launched its first international fulfillment centers outside the United States, opening operations in Mississauga, Ontario, and Manchester, England. The San Francisco-based logistics provider said the expansion allows customers to store inventory closer to end consumers and fulfill orders domestically while leveraging existing Flexport relationships. The Canadian facility near Toronto Pearson International Airport holds Health Canada certifications for medical products, supplements, and consumer goods. Inbound receiving began in July, with first customer shipments expected in September. Flexport's Manchester operations employ two partner-run facilities equipped with AutoStore automated systems. This technology allows the same inventory volume to be stored in one-quarter of the space required by traditional warehouses. The company plans to extend fulfillment services into continental Europe during 2027. Flexport's network now serves over 13,000 companies across air, ocean, truck and rail transportation alongside customs and fulfillment capabilities.
