Chemical manufacturer OXEA has enlisted Uber Freight to oversee transportation operations across North America and Europe, combining previously fragmented regional logistics into a single integrated system. The Houston-based company will leverage the partnership to manage truckload, rail and ocean shipments across the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Europe. OXEA produces oxo intermediates and performance chemicals serving coatings, lubricants, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and plastics sectors. The company operates in more than 60 countries with over 1,200 employees. The arrangement marks Uber Freight's first managed transportation contract designed to span both continents simultaneously. By consolidating operations, OXEA aims to achieve faster disruption identification and response while improving supply chain visibility. Uber Freight will coordinate complex requirements including specialized equipment handling, regulatory compliance and multi-carrier coordination across geographic regions.
